Our Story

Help Palestine Community Co-operative Ltd is a not-for-profit business which exists to provide a market for farmers and artisans in Palestine. We ensure that they receive a fair price for their quality produce. We buy many of our products through Bethlehem Fair Trade artisans and Zaytoun as well as sourcing items directly from individual artisans.  "My life has completely changed" says Nidal "So many artisans have already left, trying to get a better life. But me? I am glad I stayed. With your help I am giving my family a good life". Life was difficult before Covid 19, but now with no tourism, carpenters like Nidal are dependent on selling goods overseas 

We Make

Bowls range from small, approximately 10cm across and selling for £3.50 to larger deeper serving dishes and plates up to 25cm in diameter and £20.00. The bowls are hand painted in Hebron, the centre of the ceramics industry in the West Bank. Olive wood is hand carved in Palestine and prices range for the smaller bowls and boxes @  £4.50 to large nativity scenes at £25.00 .

Zaytoun products include Fair trade olive oil, dates, maftoul, freekah and Za'atar. The latter a mixture of Palestinian herbs, containing thyme, marjoram , sea salt, sesame and sumac.
